EHS Officer

Job Description :

 

The EHS Officer is responsible to ensure the fulfillment of the company’s environmental, health and safety aspect.

 

1.    Advisor of Environmental, Health and Safety for the top management.

2.    Secretary of Environmental, Health and Safety Committee.

3.    Commander of Emergency Response Team (ERT)

4.    Lead Auditor of the Environmental Management System Internal Auditor team.

5.    Ensure that the scheduled wastes are managed and handled properly without causing pollution to the environment.

6.    Ensure the performance of the dust collector in the best operational conditions.

7.    Develop and establish EHS management system according to:

a.    Environmental Quality Act 1974

b.    Factories and Machinery Act 1967

c.    Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994

d.    Fire and Service Act 1984

e.    Environmental Management System ISO14001

8.    Conduct EHS in-house training for existing employees and induction for new staff

9.    Ensure full compliances of the current “Conditional MCO” period regulations

 

Job Requirement :

  1. DOSH Registered Safety and Health Officer (Green Book Holder)
  2. Minimum 3 years experience as Safety and Health Officer
  3. EMS-ISO14001 system owner
  4. Certified Environment Professional in Scheduled Waste Management

 

Key Performance Indicator (KPI) :

  1. Complete EHS report before 10th monthly.
  2. No major non-conformance in ISO14001 surveillance and recertification audit.
  3. Zero industrial accident.

 

Authorities/Decisions :

  1. Issue non-conformities report to offence parties
  2. Selection of EHS monitoring program
  3. Plan and coordinate Emergency Response Team program
  4. EMS-ISO14001 Continuous Improvement Leader
